Member clubs are at the heart of USA Track & Field. They provide much needed support to athletes in the form of coaching, financial support and athletic satisfaction. It is with, and through, the clubs that USATF is able to carry out its mission: "The mission of USA Track & Field is to foster sustained competitive excellence, interest, and participation in the sports of track & field, long distance running, and race walking."

The focus and goals of each club are as unique and diverse as the athletes who compete for them. Some clubs focus primarily on elite development, while others specialize in youth or masters programs. Some are solely track & field clubs, while others provide support to only race walkers, throwers, or distance runners. What ever the case may be, each club is vital to the sport's future in the United States.

Over the past several years, USATF has initiated national club championships in cross country and track & field, and has recently added a marathon relay championship. These national club championships provide clubs a chance to showcase their talents and earn national bragging rights.

In partnership with Prevent Child Abuse America, the U.S. Center for Safe Sport will offer two free, 60-minute webinars in June for youth coaches and administrators to help prevent bullying behaviors and promote team cohesion.

Athletes who experience bullying behaviors may suffer emotional and physical pain and will not perform at their best. To support athletes, these one-hour webinars will:

  1. Address what bullying behaviors look like with a particular focus on the most vulnerable populations
  2. Help coaches and administrators learn to distinguish bullying from mean or rude behaviors
  3. Identify strategies for preventing or responding to bullying behavior

Registration links are available below. As both webinars will cover the same material, please sign up for the date and time that is most convenient for you. Thanks, and we hope you will join us!
