The email that was sent yesterday regarding Core SafeSport training was sent to a mass number of people in error.  PLEASE DISREGARD the deadline mentioned.

USATF is committed to providing a safe environment in which our athletes can train and compete. We remain on the forefront of SafeSport efforts and compliance in this regard. USATF first required SafeSport training of applicable members by 2015, before federal legislation on the matter was passed in 2017 (see Protecting Young Victims from Sexual Abuse and Safe Sport Authorization Act of 2017, which expands existing mandated youth abuse reporting laws and requires abuse prevention training for youth sports organizations). We acknowledge and appreciate the efforts many of you have made to be good stewards of SafeSport and comply with the federal legislation.

However, if you are in a position that requires USATF 3-Step SafeSport Compliance and have not completed SafeSport training within the past two years, please complete the Core SafeSport Training as soon as practicable at USATF intends to have full compliance with this initiative by the end of the first quarter in 2020. If you have any questions, please contact
Thank you,

Renee Chube Washington

USATF Chief Operating Officer
