USA Track & Field (USATF) will now be implementing the launch of a Volunteer Background Screen, available here
USATF currently requires background screens for all meet volunteers working in an official capacity (among other positions). Our current process also includes agreeing to any acknowledgements of the USATF SafeSport Handbook as well as agreeing to abide by the respective code of conduct.
Background screens take around 10 days to complete, and will be valid for two years. Please note that individuals working in other positions within USATF (coaches, officials, Board of Directors, etc.) will continue to take their respective background screens available at
Volunteers play an important role in making thousands of events run smoothly; from working national championships to RunJumpThrow events, volunteers are essential for smooth and easy operation at all levels of competition.  This page offers resources for current and returning volunteers, as well as those seeking to become a USATF volunteer.
