Notes from the Desk of Our Chair

USATF National Championship Applications: The application for the 2018 USATF Junior and Senior Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field Championship meets closed on October 15, with 350 officials applying for those meets. The Selection Committee will meet on Nov. 28-29 in Columbus, Ohio to finalize selections. Those selected will be announced on Saturday, Dec. 2, after the second Officials Committee General Session and then posted online soon after. At this time, USATF has not announced decisions on the locations for the Junior and Senior Outdoor Championship meets.

National Officials Shirt: As of October 27, there were 4,586 certified officials in the US. However, 677 of those have not entered their shirt size into their USATF Membership Profile and, therefore, have not received their national shirt. If you haven't received your shirt, check your profile to make sure you have a size entered. If you need help, contact your Association Certification Chair.

Rules Review Survey

Some people might think the acronym for "TEAM" (Together Everyone Achieves More) is over used. In this case, I think it fits perfectly. Thanks to all for completing the survey. The results will be discussed at the Annual Meeting and posted in the January NOC Newsletter.
