0'Keefe wins silver at NACAC Championships

Results

Three USATF North Carolinia members represented Team USA at the recent North American, Central American, Caribbean Area (NACAC) Championships.  The championships were contested August 19-21 in The Bahamas.

Fiona O'Keefe, of Chapel Hill, won a silver medal as she finished second in the 5000m as Team USA swept the top two places.  O'Keefe stopped the clock at 15:15.13.  The race was won by Natosha Rogers of Colorado in 15:11.68.

Dan Nehnevaj of Beckley, WV finished fifth in the 20,000m Race Walk in a time of 1:42:40.56.

Cravont Charleston of Charlotte was selected to the relay pool but did not compete.
